Ivandale is a small, cosy village about 15 minutes' drive south of Lanceston, known for its 19th century buildings and relatively unchanged townscape. Founded in 1811, the population of Ivandale is just over a 1,000 people, with almost all residents employed in tourism and agriculture. Every year in February it hosts a fair and the National Cycling Championships, which attracts enthusiasts from all over Australia and other parts of the world. The town itself is full of antique shops and souvenir shops, there is even a workshop for making stained glass.

In Ivandale, it is worth paying attention to St. Andrew's Church and Clarendon House, built in 1836 in the Georgian style. There is also a factory here that produces delicious berry and chocolate sauces, as well as sauces and chutney – a sweet and sour seasoning for meat. You can taste it all in the factory building, set amidst the beautiful Ericvale Gardens. In the neighbourhood of Ivandale there are small wineries scattered around the neighbourhood of Ivandale, producing a good variety of wine.
