Kanangra-Boyd National Park is located 100 kilometres west of Sydney in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Greater Blue Mountains. The most famous attractions of the national park are the 150 metre Kanangra Falls and the famous Kanangra Walls. The latter have appeared many times in various adventure films.

Within the Kanangra Boyd Park, two types of landscapes are distinguished - the majestic hilly Boyd Plateau and the terrain riddled with rivers, gorges and mountain ranges. The plateau is crossed by the Kanangra Walls Road, so the park can be reached from the town of Oberon or from the famous Jenolan Caves. Among other well-known landmarks in the park include Mount Cloudmaker and the sharp Turat Peaks.

There are several hiking trails through the park, including the Overlook Trail, the most accessible trail, including one that is wheelchair accessible. A 10-minute hike leads to an observation deck, which offers stunning views of deep gorges, the summit of Mount Cloudmaker and the Blue Mountains in the distance. From another viewpoint you can admire Kanangra Falls. From here, along a special path you can go down to the valley, where waterfalls fall into a pond. And along the Plateau Trail, starting at the main viewpoint, you can get to the vast Boyd Plateau, covered with heather.
