Guangzhou Water World Oceanarium is a place where tourism, quality recreation, education and environmental exploration can be harmoniously combined.

The Oceanarium is located within the Guangzhou Zoo and covers an area of over 13,000 square metres. Built back in 1998, it immediately earned the warm affection and honour of locals and visitors alike.

There are more than 10,000 sea creatures, which are divided into 200 species, and many rare and valuable species can be distinguished among them. The oceanarium has a shark and seal section, an aquarium with ornamental fish, a tunnel - a circular corridor for viewing, an animal-artist performance hall, etc.

First, visitors to the oceanarium walk through a multi-coloured coral reef tunnel surrounded by the marine life of the South China Sea. Giant acrylic glass panes allow you to literally plunge into the stunning world of coral reefs that amaze the imagination. You will also be able to see the inhabitants of the aquarium in detail through the transparent floor, allowing you to appreciate the volume of the aquarium. Further down the tunnel, you will come to a small aquarium 18 metres long. It is inhabited by reef cave predators.

The first level of the tunnel is dedicated to the life of the sea. On the second level you will plunge into the world of freshwater. The artificially created world of corals of the Aquarium "Water World", combining the marvellous beauty of reefs, makes you stop to take a few pictures as a souvenir.

The large sea creatures inhabit the Shark Aquarium, and you can see their lives through two magnificent panoramic windows. Stingrays, sharks and other large predators circle just a few centimetres from the faces of visitors to the aquarium. Walking further, you will see a dolphin that jumps more than 7 metres out of the depths. This is the first of its kind in the country and it is performed in an ultra-modern style, with a dolphin paired with a sea lion as performers.
