Baiyun Mountain is one of the landmarks in Guangzhou. Its name translates into Russian as "mountain of white clouds". The mountain itself has thirty peaks and is located 7 kilometres from the city centre. To get to it, you can use an electric car or walk. In addition, for the convenience of tourists organised funicular railway.
It is here you can see the Mosilin Peak, which is mostly shrouded in clouds, visit the botanical garden Yuntai, visit the Mingzhulou Terrace, see the temple of Nengzhensa and drink from the spring Tslulong. There are many souvenir shops, restaurants and eateries at the top of the mountain.
The Yuntai Garden, called the jewel of the mountain, is located in an area with countless strange plants and trees. It is precisely because of this that Guangzhou has become famous as the "City of Flowers", and it lives up to that name. The total area of the garden is more than 120 square metres. The garden is designed in the style of the estates of the South China provinces south of the Qinling Mountains.
In one area there is also a park of sculptures, which are made in Art Nouveau style, in another area there is a huge bird house - the largest in the country, called home to all the local birds.
There is also a stunningly beautiful lake on the mountain, the water in which is so clear that you can see everything for several metres into the depths.
The upper station is placed on top of the mountain, directly in the park itself, while the lower station is located in Yuntai Garden, on its eastern side.
