The Deer Turned Head Park is a very scenic place which is located 5 kilometres from Sanya City. The park occupies the area of the Luhuitou Peninsula. It is a coral cliff that has the shape of a deer turning backwards. It is in such a symbolic place that it was decided to open a deer nursery within the spacious beautifully landscaped park.
The peninsula itself is an elevated area with dense forests on the slopes. Visitors are invited to climb to the top of the mountain. From here, the views are extraordinarily beautiful. There are red and white pavilions, from where you can observe the island of Lovers and just the sea surface. By the way, you can go down the mountain on a special chute on a trolley. But this entertainment is not for the faint-hearted.
At the foot of the mountain is a park, on the territory of which breed deer. Several valuable breeds are represented here. With all the animals can be photographed, they can be fed and even stroked. In a small shop at the exit from the nursery you can buy various products that are made on the basis of animal raw materials. These are wines, tinctures and ointments.
Those who are hungry during the walk will like the cosy restaurant next to the park. It features a quirky design and is built entirely of bamboo. The place is notable for its licence to prepare turtle and wild animal dishes from Hainan Island.
