The Franciscan monastery was founded in the fourteenth century. The south portal has been preserved from the original building. The magnificent inner monastery courtyards (cloisters) are considered to be the finest examples of Romanesque buildings in Southern Dalmatia. The monastery has had a pharmacy since 1317 and still operates today.
