Ante Tropic Mimar bequeathed his painting collection to the city of Zagreb. His museum is now housed in the neo-Renaissance building of the city's high school. The museum's exposition includes Egyptian and Ancient Greek art, Persian and Chinese carpets, paintings by Canaletto, Raphael, Renoir, Rubens, Rembrandt, Turner, Van Dyck, and many others.
