We recommend that everyone travelling to Cuba to visit the town of Santa Clara, in the province of Villa Clara, where there is the most famous the world's most famous memorial to the national favourite, Ernesto Che Guevara. The complex is built just one kilometre from the city centre on Avenida de Los Desfiles. The famous multi-metre bronze statue depicts the commander with a plastered arm, which he broke which he broke during the battle. At the base of the monument, the remains of the revolutionary rest in a mausoleum. As is well known, he was captured in Bolivia, where he was tortured and killed in 1967. It was only a decade later that Ernesto's remains were found and buried here in Santa Clara.
