One of the most popular places in Protaras and the whole of Cyprus, Cape Greco attracts tourists with its beautiful scenery and crystal clear sea. The cape is located just between Protaras and Ayia Napa, but is easily accessible by bicycle or on foot. It is the easternmost point of the island, which is under the control of the Republic of Cyprus.

This unique place, above all, impresses with its marvellous caves, which can be found on the western side of the cape. They look very much like beautiful castles created by a brilliant architect. Looking at them, it is even impossible to believe that they were carved in the coastal rocks by the sea surf. Not far from the caves there is the so-called "lovers' bridge" - a unique rock that literally hangs over the water like a real bridge. Besides, there are rare and endangered plants on the shore, and the water is very clean and transparent, so scuba diving will give a lot of pleasure and leave a lot of new impressions. You can also go underwater hunting.

But this place has one disadvantage that you have to put up with. At the very edge of the cliff, from where the most beautiful view, there is a lighthouse, surrounded by a fence. Therefore, the passage to the cliff for tourists and locals is closed. But despite this, you can have a great time on the cape. There are many pavilions and benches, where you can take shelter from the bright sun and relax after a long walk.

Another point that undoubtedly adds to the mystery and attractiveness of this place in the eyes of tourists is the legend of the monster, which, according to locals, lives in the coastal waters of the cape. Although the legend is believed to be based on Greek myths and tales of the deadly Scylla, Cypriots themselves call the "local" monster "To Filiko Teras", which means "friendly monster."
