The Kotka Aviation Museum is located in the hangar of Kymi Airport next to the runway. Thanks to the Karhula Aero Club, the 15 aircraft, including rarities, are kept in working condition.

The Gloucester Gauntlet fighter jet is the only World War II aircraft in the world that is fully operational and still flies several times a year. The collection also includes a light attack aircraft, a supersonic fighter-bomber, glider, miniature single-seat helicopter and others.

Right from the museum, along the runway running nearby, small private planes soar into the sky. Nearby is a memorial to military pilots who died during World War II.

The museum is open from May to September. Admission is free, however, donations for the maintenance and development of the museum are welcome.
