The Orthodox Church of St Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in 1956 by architect Toivo Paatela. Initially it was a chapel built in the traditional Russian style, but a few years later it was enlarged and rededicated as a church.
The austere style, the wooden facade and the atmosphere of harmony inside leaves a deep mark on the souls of locals and curious tourists alike.
