The Porvoo City Museum, located in the Old Town Hall, built in 1762-64, presents the history of the region, arts and crafts and works of art.

The Old Town Hall is one of the most important buildings in Porvoo's Old Town. It is a two-storey building with an attic adorned by a wooden clock tower at the very top.

Until 1880 the building was used by the city authorities for administrative purposes. In 1896, the museum association saved it from destruction by creating a museum in the town hall.In 2011, an exhibition dedicated to the Middle Ages and ancient history was opened here.
