Kalevala Village is an open-air museum dedicated to Finnish history and culture. The village is built according to traditional methods of construction. Dressed in national Finnish costumes, guides tell about tar-making, reveal the secrets of wood-carving masters, and talk about traditional fishing and hunting techniques. Here you can also get acquainted with traditional Finnish rituals and watch a theatre performance based on the folk epic "Kalevala".

At Christmas time the village is ruled by Father Christmas and his entourage. Children and adults from all over the world gather to celebrate the real Christmas - fairy tale and reality - at the same time. Here you can visit an underground cave with gnomes, taste their magic drink, listen to Christmas carols and visit Father Christmas' workshop.
