Kenkävero is a parish priest's manor museum located in Mikkeli on the shore of a lake. The history of this place goes back more than 5 centuries - the first priest's house was built in the 15th century. Priests' estates have long been centres of life in the local parish and were in close interaction with their surroundings. They had a great influence on the spiritual culture and improvement of the material condition of the inhabitants.
During the long period of its existence, "Kenkyarevo" had to has had its ups and downs. In 1988, after a severe decline, the city authorities, who took ownership of the estate, began to carry out extensive restoration work.
