The merchant's house of Holm was built in 1762 of brick after the fire of 1760 destroyed all wooden buildings in the town.

Living quarters and rooms were located on the upper floors of the house, while trade and business were conducted downstairs. The attic was reserved for servants.

In the early 19th century, bakeries were opened on the grounds of the Holm House. In 1919 the building was bought for a museum.Currently, exhibitions are regularly held on the ground floor with a constantly changing display. The museum also owns two other dwellings and several outbuildings such as a pigsty, carriage barn, barns, etc. However, these buildings are off-limits to tourists.

The museum has a kiosk where you can buy souvenirs for every taste.
