The museum has been open since 1922 on the place where a market was located since ancient times, therefore many buildings of 17-18th centuries have been preserved. Now there are 29 buildings here - peasant houses, courtyard buildings, mills and a church. In the museum you can get acquainted with the process of tar smoking in special pits. There are also organised colourful competitions of running on floating logs and pushing opponents against each other.
