The Deutsches Museum, located on the Isar River Island, is one of the oldest and largest museums of science and technology in the world. It was founded in 1903 by engineer Oskar von Miller. The museum's collection covers all periods of the development of of technology.
The 18,000 exhibits are housed on seven floors of the museum. On the lower floors are the heavy transport and sections on chemistry, physics, scientific instruments and aeronautics. The middle floors are collections of arts and crafts. The upper floors are given over to exhibits on astronomy and computers.
Here you can see replicas of different mines, models of trains and sailing ships, a planetarium, Galileo's restored laboratory, Karl Benz's first car, inlaid harpsichords from the 17th century, an enlarged model of a human cell and much more. much more.
