A very beautiful 18th century house gives an insight into the life of the Goethe family. Here the poet was born here on 28 August 1749.
The house was destroyed during the Second World War, but rebuilt again later. The interior of the house has been restored in a style typical of the late 18th century. The table at which Goethe wrote the desk at which Goethe wrote his works.
