The Old Town Hall is located in the central square of the Old Town. The building was built in the late 15th century, but was badly damaged during World War II and was almost completely rebuilt.
A particular point of pride is the main hall of the Town Hall (sometimes called the Dance Hall) with a magnificent wooden ceiling decorated with a wooden frieze. The frieze shows 87 coats of arms made by craftsmen at the end of the 15th century.
Four floors of the building are occupied by the Toy Museum. Here you can see an extensive collection of dolls, toy trains, teddy bears and merry-go-rounds.
