St Peter's Church is located very close to Marienplatz. It is the oldest church in the city. The modern church dates back to the 14th century and was extensively rebuilt in the 17th century, but a Christian church has long stood on this site.
The architectural style of the building harmoniously combines elements of Baroque and late Gothic. The interior of the temple is made in the Baroque style: majestic choirs, opulent decoration of the main altar, gilded pulpit, painted ceiling and dome.
The height of the bell tower of the temple is 91 metres. People call it "Old Peter". It has an observation deck with a magnificent view of Munich.
