Kokrobite is a town located along the Atlantic Ocean coast, 30 kilometres west of Accra. It is a popular destination for sea fishing enthusiasts and tourists, as well as beach holidaymakers.
The main tourist attraction in the local infrastructure is the Beckyard Big Millie Complex, an up-and-coming resort that has been in operation since 1995. It includes the Bechdosh Bar and Hostel and a neighbourhood restaurant. All these facilities fit in well with the local atmosphere with souvenir shops and a fish market.
Several good hotels with excellent cuisine from different stans of the world are within a stone's throw of each other. It will be preferable to choose the well-known ones - "Korkor Inn", "Kokrobite gaden", "Lodge". Many of them organise weekend shows with dancing or musicians' performances.
Going to the beach, you should remember that it is popular not only with tourists and fruit sellers, but also with pickpockets. You can get to the beach by trotro, but you will have to walk around town as public transport and taxis only run along the main streets.
