Labadi Beach, better known as La Plejeri Beach, is the most visited beach on the coast of Ghana. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Accra and has the best hotels along its entire line. Visitors who are not guests of the hotels are charged an entrance fee. On the seafront and beach on holidays and weekends there are often reggae musicians, hip-hoppers, drumming concerts and dancers.
The best place to stay in Labadee is the Premier Hotel, which provides resort service and business facilities. Famous for its cuisine and unique spirit of Ghanaian hospitality, the hotel is fairly easy to reach from both the city and the airport. Labadi Beach is about 8 kilometres east of Accra, with regular tro-tro flights departing from various parts of the city. Tropical gardens along the entire length of the coastline make Labadi Beach one of the most beautiful sights in Africa.
