Just 8 kilometres from Thessaloniki, near the village of Tagarades, lies one of the best water parks in Greece - Water Country Water Park. It first opened its doors to visitors in 1994, becoming at that time the largest water park in south-eastern Europe.
Water Country Water Park is a super modern complex of water attractions with a lot of entertainment and everything you need for a comfortable holiday, as well as a unique system of water purification. The water park occupies an area of 150 thousand square metres and it is a real paradise for lovers of water entertainment, where it will be interesting for both adults and children.
At the service of the youngest guests of the water park - an entertaining attraction "Pirate Island" and a special children's pool, older children and adults will have a lot of fun, visiting the slides of different levels of complexity (including "Kamikaze" for fans of extreme), attractions "Crazy River" and "Tarzan", pool "Zen" with hydromassage and, of course, the famous wave pool, where the height of waves reaches 1.5 metres. A team of professional animators entertains the guests of the water park.
On the territory of the water park there is a children's playground, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, and also there are several souvenir shops, where you can buy a nice trinket to remember. You can have lunch or just a light snack and buy soft drinks at quite democratic prices in the restaurants and bars of the water park.
It is worth noting that the Water Country Water Park is open only in the summer period, and the opening date should be clarified in advance (usually mid-June).
