India

India (Hindi भारत), stands officially as the Republic of India (Hindi भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇarājya), positioned within South Asia. Ranking as the seventh-largest country in terms of area, it is encircled by the Indian Ocean to the south, the Arabian Sea to the southwest, and the Bay of Bengal to the southeast.

India shares its land boundaries with Pakistan to the west, while China, Nepal, and Bhutan border it to the north, and Bangladesh and Myanmar lie to the east. Nestled in the Indian Ocean, India neighbors Sri Lanka and the Maldives; additionally, its Andaman and Nicobar Islands share maritime borders with Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia.
