The Bali Botanical Garden is a branch of the National Botanical Garden in Bogor on Java Island and is located on Lake Bratan in the Bedugul district of central Bali.
The garden is located on the slope of the Mountain of Trees (Gunung Pohon) and covers an area of 157.5 hectares. The main celebrity of the garden is its large collection of valuable plant species, which includes more than 650 species of all kinds of trees.
The Bali Botanical Garden's orchid collection is considered one of the largest in Indonesia, with more than 400 species of flowers. Fans of this plant are sure to get an aesthetic pleasure from strolling along the garden's winding paths.
In addition to plants, the garden features many species of colourful tropical birds, making the garden a centre for studying the flora and fauna of the island of Bali. Visiting the Bali Botanical Gardens you can immerse yourself in an atmosphere of peace and unity with nature for a few hours.
A small colourful market selling spices and plants, as well as a library and herbarium are also open to visitors.
