On the territory of the Jurmala sanatorium "Amber Coast", built in 1972 according to the plan of architect S. Kleimenov. In the territory of the Jurmala sanatorium "Jantarny Bereg", built in 1972 by architect S. Kleimenov, the once closed State Dacha No. 2 was opened to the public.

On 29 August 1966, the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR decided to to build a sanatorium "Yantarny Bereg" with 224 beds. For the first time holidaymakers visited for the first time on 3 May 1973. At that time it was considered very prestigious to have a rest here. To this day To this day, the sanatorium "Amber Coast" is famous for hydrogen sulphide baths and Kemerovo mud. In addition, a cottage "Baltic Breeze" was created, where the top leadership of the Soviet Union preferred to holiday there. Since the 70s at least 100 thousand tourists have visited the health resort. Apart from Latvian residents, the sanatorium are people from Russia, Israel, Germany, Ireland and other countries of the world. Nowadays Amber Coast sanatorium is owned by the Presidential Affairs Department of the Russian Federation.

As part of the project "Soviet Party" ("Travelling to the Land of the Soviets"), the dacha can now be viewed by anyone who wishes to see it. The "Soviet Party" project is unique, as the interior of that time is fully preserved. Tourists are waiting for an unforgettable journey into the USSR of the 70-80s of the 20th century. Everything here reminds of of that time: worn red carpets on the floor, spetsvyazhki spetsvyazhchiki, an old TV set, turntable with vinyl. TV set, vinyl record player, Lenin's works and even a luxurious (by Soviet standards) a posh (by Soviet standards) menu in the canteen. And even today the plumbing from the Czech Republic still looks very good today and is quite competitive.

The former State Dacha is a cottage "Baltic Breeze", consisting of two separate two-storey buildings, which include rooms for accommodation, dining room, kitchen, spacious hall with fireplace, terraces, library, billiard room, cinema room, Brezhnev's office and a sauna with a swimming pool. Leonid Brezhnev Brezhnev did not holiday in the Baltics. He preferred it to the warm Crimea. Here he liked holiday with his family I Secretary of the Leningrad Regional Party Committee Romanov. Also Yuri Andropov and other high-ranking officials.

At the dacha visitors will be met, as honoured guests, car "Volga" (escort car). Then they will be waiting for a very interesting tour, demonstration newsreel "News of the Day", a meeting with Leonid Brezhnev (of course, he is played by an actor). It takes place in the fireplace hall. Visitors are warned of the solemnity of the moment and are asked to greet the owner of the dacha with a storm of applause. "Comrade Brezhnev" makes a speech on topics of concern, touching on the political and economic situation in the country and the world. Then answers questions from visitors.

To get on a tour of the State Dacha No. 2 can be by appointment together with travel agencies and information centres in Riga and Jurmala. In this jubilees, corporate parties and other "Soviet-style" celebrations can be held in this place.
