Telaga Tujuh, the famous waterfall of Lankawi Island, has several names: "Seven Wells", "Seven Thresholds" or "Seven Jets". They all fit this creation of nature, mesmerised by its unusual beauty.

The water falls from a height of 90 metres not in a single stream, but is divided into seven jets, together resembling fabulous strands of a woman's hair. This gave rise to the legend of the nymphs who lived in this place and washed their hair in the jets. After a certain prince tried to catch one of them, all the fairies became invisible. The streams of water descending from such a height run along seven ledges, hence the name "Seven Thresholds". At the bottom, these streams form the same number of lakes, which gave the waterfall a third name - "Seven Wells". The island's natives claim that the Seven Wells were also a favourite bathing place for fairies. The impenetrable rainforests surrounding the waterfall emphasise the mysterious peculiarity of the waterfall, which makes you believe all the legends about it.

The climb to the top will not seem like an easy walk, and will take an average of about 45 minutes. But the beauty of the legendary waterfall is worth it. For the ascent, the path is equipped with steps, railings, benches for rest. In the lower part of the waterfall you can take a natural bath with the effect of a Jacuzzi - because of the flow of water falling into it. During the ascent you are almost guaranteed to meet representatives of the animal world. These may include rhinoceros birds, giant squirrels and the ubiquitous macaques. The waterfall is most impressive in the rainy season, when it is at its fullest.

At the top there is a small viewing platform in the form of a suspension bridge with a glass floor. All conditions have been created for easy viewing, including gazebos for resting and viewing.

On the stone slope polished by the water over the years, you can, if you wish, roll in its streams, as if in a water park. The lake at the bottom of the stream will take you into its embrace.

The waterfall is very famous and visited. Many tourists are convinced of the healing properties of the water of the seven lakes.
