Agadir Souk, located within a huge park, is the largest Moroccan market in the region. There are similar markets in almost all the big cities of the country. The Agadir Souk is surrounded on all sides by a high wall. You can get into the territory of the market through many entrances located on different sides of the market.

Almost the entire Souk is covered with light canopies and awnings, protecting shoppers from the hot sun. First-time travellers are blown away by the number of stalls, shops and stalls. In total, there are more than 6 thousand trading places in this market. In order to make it easier to find the goods of the necessary category, the market has been specially divided into several sectors. For example, the furniture sector, handicrafts sector, and, accordingly, clothing, spices, meat products and vegetables. Also here tourists have the opportunity to buy exclusive goods. For this purpose it is necessary to look in the shops of craftsmen or in the sector of national clothes. The main thing is to decide on the choice of goods.

Almost everything offered at this market was made locally or brought from nearby villages. For example, carpets and leather goods are locally made, ceramic crafts come from Safi, and as for jewellery, traders bring from Tinzit and Taroudant.

Fruits are in particular demand among travellers at the Moroccan market - there are huge scatterings of the world's sweetest and juiciest golden-orange oranges. Prices for them here are ridiculous.

Going to the Agadir Souk, you should not forget about the clever traders who can easily sell you a cheap Chinese fake instead of a unique product.
