Duvisib Castle stands among round red hills about seventy kilometres southwest of the town of Maltahoe. The imposing quadrangular red sandstone structure with towers and loopholes was built by the legendary Baron Von Wolf for his American wife Jayti. Most of the building materials and furniture travelled a long way from Germany by sea and were transported from the port of Lüderitz on ox carts to the site. Today, the castle is open as a museum, where you can see works of art, weapons and luxury items collected by the extravagant baron in his castle.
