At 22,270 square kilometres, Etosha is Namibia's largest and most famous national park and one of the largest reserves in Africa. About a fifth of the area is taken up by Etosha Pen, a salt marsh depression, along the southern edge of which there are watering places where you can almost always see all kinds of animals, of which there are up to 114 species. Etosha has the world's only population of black rhinoceros, up to three hundred animals, and the very rare black-footed impala antelope.
