Atlantic Marine Park, one of the largest in Northern Europe, is located 3 kilometres from the city of Ålesund in a picturesque tourist area on the ocean with fantastic views of the surrounding islands. This unique aquarium, built between land and sea, was officially opened by the Norwegian royal chet in 1988.

Visiting the Atlantic Marine Park, visitors to the city can learn about the flora flora and fauna of the fjords, as well as the variety of deep sea creatures which are here in their natural environment because the water in the aquariums is pumped directly from the ocean.

Every day at 13.00 there is a diving performance with hand feeding of fish such as halibut, cod, sea eel and others. The youngest youngest visitors of the park are especially attracted by the process of feeding crabs.

Next to the marine park there are fishing spots and a beach for swimming and diving, as well as cultural sites and hiking trails. Within the Atlantic Marine Park visitors can relax and have a snack at a cosy café.
