Kjøragbolton, or "Pea Stone" in Norwegian, is a huge rock stuck between two cliffs at an altitude of 984 metres.
To look at this boulder hanging in the mountain gorge since ancient times can absolutely anyone. No special preparation and equipment are required. The vast majority of tourists travelling through Ljusefjord, the goal is not only to see the famous impregnable Norwegian mountains, but also to get to this "miracle of nature". Such a climb will take 2.5 to 3 hours of walking through inaccessible terrain one way and the same amount of walking back.
At an altitude of 500 m above Lysefjord is the Eagle's Nest, a small café with a viewing platform that overlooks the road with its 27 steep bends, leading down to the town of Lusebotn. However, it is only open in the summer summer.
There is also a paid car park for tourists, an information board with directions and other facilities.
