Polaria Arctic Park, established in 1997 by the Norwegian Department of Environmental Protection, is part of the Polar Research Centre.

The building of the museum has a non-standard shape: it is made in the form of ice blocks. Inside the museum there is a panoramic cinema, a model of the coast with the Northern Lights, aquariums with inhabitants of the northern seas. Visitors are very interested in Lakhtakh seals, nicknamed sea hares by the people due to their good temperament and cleverness. Unusual architecture and typical inhabitants of the Barents Sea and Svalbard have made the museum the main attraction for visitors. Svalbard have made the museum a major attraction in Tromsø.

After watching a panoramic film about Arctic Norway, you will take an air trip by helicopter over the shores of the harsh and incredibly beautiful Spitsbergen - the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago.
