Undredal Church is the smallest surviving wooden church in Norway: it seats only 40 people. surviving in Norway: it seats only 40 people. The church was built in 1147, as evidenced by the carved date on the ceiling, as a chapel of St Nicholas, and several times it was reinterpreted as a chapel of St Nicholas, and it has been moved from place to place several times, repeatedly reconstructed.

The church received its present appearance after the reconstruction in 1722. The church church ceiling is decorated with biblical characters and angels, and there is also a beautiful medieval chandelier. In 1962, the church was restored, as a result of which three layers of washed-out paint have revealed ancient decorations - paintings of of mythical animal signs and symbols.

The church is of great cultural value to Norway.
