My Application

On an area of over 10,000 square kilometres at an altitude of 1,524 metres above sea level, in the Ifugao Mountains near the small town of Banaue on the island of Luzon, Philippines, 250 km from the capital Manila, you can find what locals call the "eighth wonder of the world". Incredibly beautiful fields set in stepping stones on the slopes of the mountains. More than 3,000 years ago, the ancestors of the ancient farming tribes of the Iifugao people, whose direct descendants still live in Banaue, transformed the harsh mountain landscape to create livable areas. It is worth noting, these fields were done virtually by hand, with only primitive tools.

Today, the fields are still used for rice cultivation.
