On the eastern side of Boracay Island, the Bat Caves are located on the rocky coastline. It is home to giant bats and cave bats, with wingspans of over a metre. Night is their hunting time, when they fly to the coast for fruit. People come to observe the bats during the day, when they are asleep, and local children are often the guides.
