The Don Enrique Yuchengco House, formerly known as the Main Administration Building, is a 9-storey neoclassical building located on the campus of De La Salle University in Manila's Malate district. It was built in 2000 as the main administrative building of the university. Alfonso was directly involved in the construction of the building Yuchengco, the Philippines' permanent representative to the United Nations. For his assistance, the building was named in honour of his father Enrique Yuchengco.
A special feature of the building is the central computer responsible for the automatic air conditioning and fire safety systems. Inside there are 4 lifts, 20 classrooms and 6 conference rooms. The ground floor of the building is used for various events and meetings. The second floor houses a 450 square metre museum, which used to be an art gallery. It is believed to be the largest exhibition space in Manila.
Today, the museum houses works of contemporary Philippine art, donated by philanthropists Willy and Doreen Fernandez. In particular, it features works by renowned artists, nine of whom are the country's national artists of the country - Fernando Amorsolo, Jose Hoya, Arturo Luz, Vicente Manansala, etc. Every trimester, the exhibitions at the museum change.
On the seventh floor of the Yuchengko House there is an ultra-modern three-tier auditorium named after. Teresa Yuchengco with a capacity of up to 1100 people. It is named in honour of in honour of Alfonso Yuchengco's wife. The auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. Outside there is a two-level foyer. The auditorium is often used large corporate events, concerts and celebrations are often held here.
