Eden Natural Park is located at the foot of Mount Tolomo near Davao City. The park, on the territory of which the resort of the same name is located, is a real “man-made” paradise where you can admire the beauty of nature and find something to do to your taste. Today, it is one of the most popular "green" attractions in the Philippines, with an amazing pine forest, beautiful gardens and animal sanctuaries. In addition, guests of the park will find here comfortable villas and cottages where you can stay overnight to completely immerse yourself in the enchanting world of nature.
The park is located at an altitude of 3 thousand feet above sea level, and when you find yourself among its lush greenery, surrounded by the sounds of a real forest, it is difficult to believe that all this is 95% created by human hands. "Eden is a perfect example of how to recreate nature, to bring back the "lost paradise". Once the territory of the park was almost completely deforested - only grass cover has been preserved. only the grass was still intact. However, in 1971, the potential of the area was recognised by entrepreneurs from Davao, who decided to turn it into a popular resort with a marvellous view of the city and Davao Bay. Soon, terraces were cleared on the mountain slopes terraces were cleared and thousands of pine saplings were planted. As the pines grew, they provided excellent cover for other trees and plants, thus forming a secondary forest. a secondary forest. Today, the 80-hectare area is already home to around 100 of pine trees, which have become the perfect backdrop for the various attractions and among which roam the beautiful peacocks and Asian deer - there are about 30 of them.
For a closer look at the local flora and fauna, it is worth hiking along the 4-kilometer Mountain Trail, which runs right through the forest and is sure to meet various species of birds, animals and insects. Throughout the park there are wonderful gardens with exotic plants - the Flower Garden, Lola's Garden, the Amphitheater, Plaza Maria. The Prayer Garden especially stands out, in which you can feel some unusually calm and peaceful atmosphere. Here, in the park, vegetables are grown all year round, including tomatoes, which are then served to spa guests. And in the greenhouses you can see a variety of fruit trees - durian, mango, macadamia and others.
Tourists appreciate "Eden" not only for the amazing nature, but also for the opportunities for recreation and entertainment. The park's most popular attraction is the Skyrider, a 45-minute ride on which will leave you with an unforgettable experience. The attraction is something like a cable car - chairs move along a 200-meter cable stretched 20 meters above the ground between two steel towers. It is from the Skyrider that breathtaking views of Davao and the coast open.
In the park, you can also go horseback riding, go to a fishing village or swim in the huge swimming pool. Of particular interest to tourists is the an open-air park-museum dedicated to the culture of the local Tinubdan tribe, spread over an area of 5,000 square metres. In it you can get acquainted with the history, traditions and customs of the tribe, as well as the lifestyle of the indigenous people of the island of Mindanao.
