Miniloc Island and Lagen Island are the largest resorts within the municipality of El Nido. The first resort was built on Miniloc Island in 1983, originally a diving base for tourists from Japan and Europe. Today, the island's calm turquoise waters, Big and Small orchid-shaped lagoons, and abundant marine life attract hundreds of tourists. Scientists believe that these lagoons were once caves, and that they were then submerged.

All lodges are built of natural materials and are equipped with air-conditioning, mini-bars, shower and toilet, and private verandas overlooking Bakit Bay and the islands. The resort's on-site Open-air restaurant, boutique, children's playground, bar, conference room. Diving equipment can be hired here, aqua-bike rides, and guided kayak tours. At the end of the pier there is a wonderful snorkeling spot where you can swim surrounded by metre-long groupers, beauty fish and other colorful tropical creatures.

Lagen Island is famous for its incredible variety of birds, most of which are endemic to the island of Palawan. One of the best places to observe to observe the bird kingdom is the Lagen Trail. It is also home to Leta-Leta Cave, an important Late Neolithic burial site, where jewellery made of stones and shells, as well as pottery. The cave was explored in 1965.

In one of the sheltered bays of the island, fringed by lush vegetation and limestone cliffs, is the Lagen resort, the most luxurious in the territory of El Nido. The resort is notable for its huge swimming pool - 12 by 25 metres, a library and a clinic.
