The Church of St Peter and St Paul is a fine example of Baroque architecture of the early 17th century. The architect Giovanni Trevano designed an ornate three-tiered facade with pilasters, volutes, niches, and a spacious interior. A powerful elliptical dome was placed in the centre of the nave, where the nave meets the transept. Along the walls of the only nave are built intercommunicating chapels, forming the semblance of side aisles.
