Florian Gate, first mentioned in 1307, is dedicated to St Florian, patron of Krakow. The entrance gate is housed in a square tower made of boulders, built in the early 14th century and topped with an intricately shaped 16th-century top. Inside the lancet portal of the tower there is a capitol with an image of the Virgin Mary.
