The Fairy Tale Zoo opened in 1995 and now houses more than 120 species of animals brought from all continents of the globe. Many of the animals were brought here with injuries and nursed back to health by zoo staff. In recent years, the zoo has been buying animals under international contracts with the Association Association of European Zoos and Aquariums.
Here you can see pelicans, squirrels, monkeys, Ussuri tigers, rabbits, Himalayan bears, peacocks, ostriches and many other animals and birds. У each animal in this zoo has its own name written on a plaque. С each one of them can be photographed. In the Fairy Tale area, you can always hear music with the sounds of wildlife. There are lots of souvenir shops, cafes and funny crooked mirrors.
What makes this zoo different from others is that you can feed the animals and and pet all of them except the predators. At the entrance to the zoo there is a special table with food for the animals, which you can buy and feed your favourite animal. The most extreme animals drink beer and smoke cigarettes, such as the monkeys.
In Yalta zoo you can visit "Grandma's yard" - this is the area where the are domestic animals: pygmy pigs, ponies, sheep and goats.
Yalta Zoo is located in an amazingly beautiful place, from where you can see the magnificent view of Yalta and the Crimean mountains. "Fairy tale" gives both adults and children A sea of impressions and positive emotions.
