Sweden, officially the Kingdom of Sweden, stands as a Nordic country situated on the Scandinavian Peninsula in the northern part of Europe. It shares its borders with Norway to the west and north, Finland to the east, and is linked to Denmark in the southwest through a bridge–tunnel spanning the Öresund. The territory of Sweden extends over 450,295 square kilometers (173,860 square miles).
