Maison Tavel is the oldest residential building in Geneva. After a great fire in 1334, the Tavel family rebuilt their house. Later it passed to other and since 1963 it has been owned by the city. It currently houses is now the City Museum. The most interesting exhibit of the museum is a model of the city from 1850, created over a period of 18 years by architect A. Magnin and provided with his comments.
