Four kilometres from the town of Thalang on Phuket Island lies the Khao Phra Theo Forest Park. Here the last remnants of Phuket's jungle are still preserved and some rare species of wildlife. Two beautiful waterfalls are the jewels of this park: the picturesque Tonsai Waterfall and the bathing waterfall of Bangpae.

Not far from the waterfalls is the Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre. Here treat injured animals, conduct a programme of adaptation to life in the forest park, and then release them into the wild. and then release them into the wild. Anyone who pays a certain amount of money can become a "named parent" of a baby gibbon.
