The Rose Garden, located 32 kilometres south of Bangkok, is one of the world's most beautiful tropical gardens with unique varieties of Thai orchids and roses. But it's not just about seeing the rich collection of flowers and strolling along the cosy shady paths that you can enjoy. The garden also hosts daily cultural shows of a unique variety that give guests a brief glimpse into the different spectrums of Thai life.

Particularly here you can witness an important Thai Buddhist ceremony such as the initiation of monks or Buat Naag. Colourful, noisy and colourful, relatives and friends see off young people who are taking up the path of Dharma (Buddhist teachings). In Thailand, it is customary to send all the boys in the family to the temple for at least a short period of 2 weeks. In this country, monasticism partly replaces military duty in Russia.

Part of the cultural show is also the so-called finger dance, a traditional Thai dance that came from northern Thailand. Its main feature is the original movements of the dancers' hands, bending the upper phalanges of the fingers upwards.

What is the understanding of Thai dance?

What understanding of Thai culture can we talk about without traditional Muay Thai boxing? In Thailand, it is not just a martial art, but a separate religion with its own symbolism and ceremonies. Muay Thai is the art of owning yourself and your body, in combat boxers use all limbs to strike, as well as many protective amulets and tattoos.

At the Rose Garden, you can witness a traditional Thai wedding ceremony in an authentic setting, and enjoy national songs and dances from around the country, including the Kala dance, in which the coconut is the main attribute and the centre of attention.

Even the full range of activities at the Rose Garden doesn't end there, elephant rides, sword fights, traditional Thai massages and much more await the onlookers.
