Located next to Conak Square, the Archaeological Museum has a rich collection of antiquities, most of which were found during the excavations of Pergamum. Many amphorae, columns and capitals can be seen in the museum courtyard. On the ground floor there are marble statues of Poseidon, Demeter, Artemis and ancient sarcophagi. The first floor displays pottery, glassblowing, ceramics and Bronze Age objects.
The collection of the Ethnographic Museum, located opposite the Archaeological Museum, includes folk art objects, including Bergama and Gordes carpets, traditional costumes and fabrics, camel bridles and copperware. On the ground floor of the museum you can see recreated interiors of an Ottoman house, an ancient pharmacy, and a printing house.
