Not far from the district of Ankara called Ulus, where excavations of the recently discovered ruins of Roman baths are still being carried out, there is one of the most beautiful parks in the capital - Gençlik Park or as it is also called “Youth Park”. Park Gençlik Park is the oldest and at the same time the most popular place of recreation of Ankara residents. It was completely renovated last year. Its area is about thirty hectares. You can walk along its alleys or make a trip to the Ethnographic Museum, located nearby.

The park itself is very original - the centrepiece of the park is a lake, around which there are various recreational areas and attractions. It's all beautifully illuminated by colour-changing lanterns. Here you can not only pleasantly relax, but also experience all kinds of water activities. In the park is quite crowded in the evening, with the Luna Park with rides, cafeterias, fountains, and other pleasures of life.

Ankara's "Ramadan Festival" is a must-see. The festival takes place in Gençlik Park until 8 September. There is also a book fair, competitions, discussions on various topics, concerts, and various souvenirs and handicrafts.
