The most beautiful and largest park in the Turkish resort of Antalya is considered to be the Karaalioglu Park, located in the Kılıçarsan neighbourhood. This popular recreation area stretches for several hundred metres along the rocky coastline. Due to the fact the park is located high above the sea, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the city and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the nearby bays and mountains. Sit on benches in the shade of the spreading trees, you will be able to admire a striking variety of beautiful exotic flowers of the park.

Karaalioglu Park was founded in 1943. While enjoying the beauty of the local vegetation, the park also gives you the opportunity to learn a little about the history of the of the city by exploring the sights located in the park. One of them is is the ancient Khydirlik Tower, located in the western part of the park. It was built in the second century BC when the Romans inhabited the area. The tower is considered one of the most outstanding architectural finds on the entire Antalya coast. The structure is breathtaking in its majesty. In addition, the tower offers a marvellous view of the sea and the surrounding area.

To the east of the park is the Antalya Municipality building, the Theatre of the Municipality and the Ataturk House Museum. The latter building is a mansion where Mustafa Kemal, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, stayed during his three visits to Antalya.

The park impresses with the abundance and variety of plants. There are fruit-bearing tangerine and orange trees, beautiful palm trees, fabulous flowers. A large number of luxurious fountains and unusual statues will please the tourist's eye. This is a favourite place for romantics, philosophers and people who prefer Hundreds of metres of unique scenery from the cliffs overlooking the city, the bay and the mountains.

The park is designed to give holidaymakers maximum pleasure. Here a large number of restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a tasty meal while enjoying birdsong, and there's even a mini zoo. You can also stop by one of the tea houses, taste a flavoured drink and admire the exotic flora and fauna. Straight from Karaalioglu Park, you can go down the stairs to the seashore and dive into the cool sea water.
