On one of the outskirts of Kemer, right behind the harbour, is the excellent park complex "Moonlight". The park got its name thanks to the delightful bay of the same name, along which its long sandy beach stretches. It is one of the best places for walking and recreation in the city. The park sprawls over 55,000 square metres and impresses visitors with the number and variety of leisure facilities.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy water sports such as water skiing, windsurfing and paragliding, or hire motorboats, catamarans and canoes under the watchful eye of well-trained and experienced lifeguards. Tennis players have specialised courts and a diving school allows everyone to learn about the local marine life. There is also a miniature golf course. There are separate swimming pools for adults and children with water slides, which will give parents a chance to relax while their children frolic in the water. In addition, the park has animators and a mini club, where you can safely leave your kids.
Tourists who prefer to bask in the gentle sunlight can do so on the wide green terraces for sunbathing or directly on the golden sand of the beach. You can also swim in the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Lying on the sand, it is very interesting to watch luxury white yachts moored nearby. This beach is recognised by the European Union as a beach of the highest degree of purity. The part of the beach adjacent to the bar is paid and costs 3 lira, using a sun bed will cost you the same amount.
A separate item of the entertainment programme in the park should be a visit to the local dolphinarium. A sea lion and two dolphins performing here twice a day will put you in a good mood and energise you for the whole day. A lecture about these cute mammals and their life in captivity, which usually starts the show, will instil in your children a respectful attitude towards the nature around us. In addition, you can swim with dolphins, take photos with them, watch the animals through the transparent walls of the pool, and special therapy for disabled children.
The park has a 180-seat pier with all the necessary equipment. From here you can take a boat trip, which usually includes fishing, swimming in the open sea, visiting the picturesque beaches and lunch.
Numerous cafés and restaurants in the park complex offer dishes from all over the world. Shopping centre, boutiques, souvenir shops attract tourists with an abundance and variety of goods. Entertaining musical programmes are held in the park all day long, and in the evening these shows with various competitions lure holidaymakers to discos and nightclubs.
It is important that even the July heat in this park is easily tolerated, thanks to the cool shade of pine trees and the unique microclimate of the mountains. The aroma of citrus trees will be another important component of a pleasant pastime. The park complex "Moonlight" gives a lot of impressions and positive emotions to all its visitors.
